The DELE, ( diploma of Spanish as a foreign language) is an official Diploma from the Ministry of Education which certifies the level of competence and command of Spanish . The Instituto Cervantes is the institution in charge of the management.
The UIMP  holds accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes as an examination centre and organizes DELE  preparatory studies throughout the year.

(*) The Diploma of Spanish as a foreign language includes four different levels, depending on the proven linguistic background.
- Spanish Diploma ( Level Access – A1)
Gives proof of  a sufficient linguistic competence allowing a basic communication as to meet basic requirements in daily life.
- Spanish Diploma ( Level Beginners- B1)
Gives proof of  a sufficient command of Spanish allowing a basic level of communication.
- Spanish Diploma ( Intermediate Level - B2 )
Gives proof of a sufficient command of Spanish to fend for oneself in daily life situations which do not require a specialized terminology.
- Spanish Diploma ( Advanced Level - C2 )
It gives proof of a very good command of Spanish, in any type of situation, as well as a good knowledge about the culture.
